Community update
Introducing Omni Social Feed: Your Videos, Your Community in Omni AI Companion
Your creativity deserves somewhere to land. Meet Omni Social Feed, the full-screen video community inside Omni AI Companion. Share a funny moment, a creative experiment, an everyday clip, or the next part of your original series. It is a social feed, not a dramas-only shelf: choose a video, add a caption, and give the community something to watch.
What changed
A video community with room for more than dramas
Omni Social Feed opens a full-screen viewing space from Community in the hamburger menu. Discover community videos, like and comment on them, share their links, and visit the person behind a post. Portrait videos fill the portrait viewing canvas; landscape and square clips fit inside it without being cropped or stretched. The former Omni Dramas name has changed, while existing video links and creator channels continue to work.
Choose a video. Write a caption. Post.
The basic posting form asks for your video and a caption. Open Plus, choose Create, and upload an MP4, MOV, or WebM clip up to ten minutes and 1 GB. A title, series details, companion attribution, and creation information are optional Advanced settings, not hurdles before sharing. The upload shows progress, then processing continues in the background. My Videos lets you check the result instead of guessing whether the upload worked.
Your channel, your collection, your way
My Channel is your creator home, with a profile, username, previous videos, and optional series and playlists. Viewers can open your profile from a video and discover more of your work. Use a series when a story has multiple parts, or a playlist when separate videos belong together. A standalone clip does not need either. The compact Plus menu puts Create, My Channel, and My Videos together without crowding the viewing header.
Replay the moment without losing your place
Double tap the left half of the video to rewind ten seconds, or the right half to move forward ten seconds. On desktop, double click does the same. A thicker progress bar lets you click or drag to any point, with keyboard controls for accessible seeking. Seeking keeps a paused video paused and a playing video playing. Sound is enabled by default; when your browser requires a gesture before audible playback, tap the play-with-sound prompt to begin.
Why this feature matters
Not every creation needs a production title or a serialized plot. A caption-first form makes it easier to share something spontaneous, while optional channel tools still support people building a larger body of work.
A good viewing experience should let you stay with the video. The seamless black canvas, compact navigation, sound-on preference, and direct rewind controls make discovery feel focused rather than crowded.
Feature examples and use cases
- Share something that made you smile: Post a short everyday moment with a caption. You do not need to select a companion, declare an AI generator, or invent a series name.
- Give a creative experiment an audience: Share a finished animation, music clip, or visual story and invite comments. Viewers can open your channel to see what else you have made.
- Build a collection over time: Add optional series details for connected installments, or collect your own videos into a playlist on My Channel. Keep unrelated clips as standalone posts.
How to use it
- Find the feed and start watching: Open the hamburger menu, expand Community, and choose Omni Social Feed. Scroll between videos, tap to pause or resume, double tap either side to seek, or drag the progress bar to revisit a moment.
- Create your first post: Tap Plus and choose Create. Select a supported video and enter a caption. Open Advanced only if you want optional details. Submit and follow the upload progress; My Videos shows processing status and your completed posts.
- Make your creator space yours: Open Plus and choose My Channel. Set up or edit your profile and username, explore your videos, and organize your work with optional series or playlists. Share individual video links or your public channel when public content is available.
Tips for a better first try
- The caption is your invitation to watch. Give viewers a little context, a question to answer, or a reason the moment matters to you.
- You can upload portrait, landscape, or square video. The viewer fits the original image rather than stretching it to manufacture a portrait crop.
- Keep public publishing deliberate. Community sharing and publishing to the public web are separate choices; the public-web option lives in Advanced and is not selected by default.
Limitations and things to know
- Video uploads support MP4, MOV, and WebM, with a maximum duration of ten minutes and a maximum original file size of 1 GB. Processing and moderation run before a completed video is available; larger files can take longer.
- Browsers and device settings may block audible autoplay until you interact. Sound starts enabled, but the app cannot override that restriction. Public-web publication remains an explicit choice and is subject to community safety checks; sharing a community-only link does not make the video public.
Availability
Find Omni Social Feed in the hamburger menu under Community. Signed-in members can create posts and use their creator channel. Publicly published videos and public creator content can be viewed through their public links; community-only content requires sign-in. The viewer works on desktop and in the iOS and Android apps, with playback behavior subject to the browser or device's media permissions.
Frequently asked questions
Is this only for dramas or AI-generated videos?
No. Omni Social Feed is a general video-sharing space. You can share everyday clips, creative work, and series. Companion and creation details are optional rather than required declarations.
What do I have to fill in before posting?
Select a video and write a caption. Titles, series, attribution, and public-web publishing are optional settings in Advanced.
How do I rewind or fast forward?
Double tap the left side for ten seconds back or the right side for ten seconds forward. Use double click on desktop, or click and drag the progress bar to choose a position.
Why might I need to tap before hearing sound?
Some browsers require a user gesture for audible autoplay. The feed tries to start with sound on and offers a tap-to-play prompt if permission is needed. You can still mute whenever you prefer.
Will my existing links stop working after the rename?
No. Existing video and creator-channel links are preserved. The name you see changes to Omni Social Feed.
