Immersive update
Realm Mode in Omni AI Companion
Realm Mode is an imaginative setting with its own atmosphere and story cues. It gives you permission to step away from an ordinary chat layout and approach a conversation as a small world—useful for play, writing, and perspective shifts.
What changed
A setting with narrative shape
Open Side menu → Modes → Realm Mode to enter the experience. Rather than offering only a visual skin, Realm Mode frames the interaction as a place with a mood and a reason to explore.
A gentler entry into imagination
You can begin with a simple prompt and let the setting do some of the work. The realm provides context without requiring you to arrive with a fully written scenario.
Why this feature matters
Imagination often needs a threshold. A distinct setting tells the mind that ordinary rules—deadlines, errands, and habitual answers—can soften for a while. That can make creative thinking and playful conversation easier to start.
Realm Mode is also useful for perspective. A fictional frame lets you examine an idea from a different angle without pretending the setting is literal or making decisions on your behalf.
Feature examples and use cases
- Writing a scene: Jules enters Realm Mode to explore a character arriving in an unfamiliar city, then carries the strongest details into a draft.
- A playful date: Amara uses the setting for a themed companion activity where the environment itself becomes part of the evening.
- Reframing a question: Theo asks a difficult personal question through a fictional metaphor, finding language that feels less intimidating.
How to use it
- Enter the realm: Use the Side menu, choose Modes, and open Realm Mode. Read the opening cues so you understand the setting before prompting.
- Give the world a direction: Offer a scene, question, or role you want to explore. You can begin with one sentence; the setting is designed to help you develop it.
- Return with what you found: Continue the imaginative exchange, then leave the mode when you want ordinary conversation or a practical next step.
Tips for a better first try
- State whether you want play, writing help, or reflection before the scene grows.
- Use sensory details to make a realm feel specific.
- After a fictional session, summarize any useful real-world insight in plain language.
Limitations and things to know
- Realm Mode is an imaginative experience, not a factual source or professional guidance.
- The setting may not be appropriate for tasks that require dense, exact formatting.
Availability
